A Florida teacher’s alleged comments about a student’s body led to a heated exchange that boiled over into a 10-day suspension for the 14-year-old girl.

The 8th grader, Alice Wagner, alleged the teacher singled her out and claimed she was wearing a revealing outfit because her undergarments were visible.

Wagner, who goes to school in Yulee in suburban Jacksonville, said she wore a full-length tank top with a cardigan in class.

“(The teacher) told me I was ‘letting them hang out for the whole world to see,’ as I was exiting the classroom,” Wagner told Jacksonville’s News4Jax. “I went to the bathroom and I came back and I said, ‘You need to stop sexualizing 14-year-old girls.’ I grabbed my stuff and I removed myself from the situation.”
