The Veterans Memorial Center Museum and Plaza is free and open 10:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday thru Saturday and 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday.
The adjacent 82-acre park is open from dawn until dusk.

Looking back towards the future
The main museum is the Blockhouse that launched
Explorer 1, America’s first orbiting satellite in 1958.

This museum is only accessable from the ‘Early Space’ tour of the KSC Visitor Complex.

Visit the free Sands Space & Missile History Center,
outside the south gate of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station,
and accessable to the public without a military pass.
