To go to Australia, Denver TSA waived the removal of shoes, skipped the scan for the metal detector and no one touched me, ditto for LAX on the trip to Sydney. Where’s the uniformity or standards for TSA?? Why did I have to be subjected to this garbage on the way home?? This is why I despise flying. It makes no sense to me. This ruined what was a great vacation.”

Cons: “Firstly check in was a nightmare, travelling on a Virgin Australia Flight from LAX – BNE and a connecting flight BNE – PPP (Proserpine) all with Virgin Australia, and they claim they don’t have the ability to tag your luggage the whole way through??? (I understand I have to collect it on arrival into another country and then take to a bag drop) but with the same airline they claim they can’t do this? I travel a lot and with many other flights internationally and I can tag my bags with different airlines all the way through, but NOT WITH VIRGIN WITH THE SAME AIRLINE ALL THE WAY THROUGH? They can’t do it? Then 2 hour delay on the tarmac after taxiing out from the gate at LAX, which got us in late to Brisbane. The food on this leg LAX-BNE for the vegetarian option was terrible, which was strange as on the fist flight over from BNE-LAX it was the best vegetarian food on any flight I’ve ever had. Strangely 6 months out from our flight I tried calling Delta to upgrade our tickets and was told they had no way of doing it as the Delta computer system isn’t linked Virgin system. Then calling Virgin to upgrade I was told I can’t as it is a Delta ticker. We tried again a week out from the flight and got the same response and told to try at check-in. We tried then at check in and told they have no idea how to do this as only so many seats are allocated to Delta tickets and they can’t access the Delta system?? So very frustrating and we could never upgrade?”

They really did make up for the bummer that the 5 hour delivery caused. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even let us go sit in the first class seats which were very comfortable”

Pros: “Minnesota was beautiful this time of year! The flight itself was typical, similar to flying Southwest. Boarding moved. The crew were average, nothing above and beyond. Overall decent flight, but then we got diverted. Some positive shout outs to those who worked to make an unfortunate event better: Texas Aero Services and the 20 year olds at the desk were given a challenging and difficult situation which they would not be expected to prepare for and did a decent job. It was a tough spot for them and what Sun Country did to them was extremely unfair and unprofessional. These young men gave credit to the dispatcher at Sun Country who attempted to call up to the CEO, unfortunately he was not empowered enough to take care of the situation. Several star players here, but the team failed. Thanks to Waco Police and the staff at Whataburger for spinning up hundreds of meals in short order beyond the midnight hour. Thanks to KWTX, WFAA, KARE for picking up this story. Finally, to my fellow passengers, I’m sorry we all had to go through this, but to those who were kind, helping, and shed light on this event, thank you. God bless!”
Cons: “Our flight, Sun Country 550 from MSP to DFW diverted to Waco, TX. While unfortunate weather diverts happen, the airline failed to own the situation. The airline was ad hoc and did not have a plan to take care and comfort customers in an unfortunate event. With the lack of communication, I am concerned how this airline would respond in an elevated scenario. The pilot told us we had the option to deplane. After he stepped off, the flight attendant provided conflicting direction that we would all deplane and there was no option to deplane confusing passengers (crew coordination, who’s in charge?). Maybe an hour later the plane and crew take off leaving all 150+ pax at what was essentially a closed terminal. Sun Country left no representation on the scene. (lack of leadership and communication). Local law enforcement and the general aviation terminal staff picked up where they could. Sun Country made valid statements with respect to FAA/TSA regulations, but they also blamed the local shuttle company for “not cooperating”. The company repeatedly deflected ownership. With regards to ground transportation, we expected that it would arrive within a reasonable time (30 minutes) after deplaning. That turned into hours. I understand bus drivers have a certain fee for getting out of bed at 2AM. Sun Country, as some of us were getting a little stir crazy, I was able to call a local 24/7 hour limo service. They could be at the terminals in short order. For $750, we would get 1 limo, 22 pax from Waco to DFW. Speaking with them, moving 150 people was fairly simple. Sun Country, please try harder. For your new CEO, study this incident and you can see what you need to fix at your company. The most tragic thing I witnessed was a pregnant mother, with lap child experiencing morning sickness in front of everyone at the terminal. What angers me is no one from Sun Country was there to see or comfort her. Those people were in bed or unavailable. There were multiple failures here. In hindsight, it may have been better if the pilot refused Waco and requested Austin where there would have been TSA staff, a standby crew, or more reasonable accommodations. Sun Country could have some contingency contracts with local ground transit companies. There’s a lot this airline can take in from this experience to improve themselves, let’s hope they do. I would like some consideration for this terrible experience and if this airline cares about its image it should reach out to all flight passengers to apologize and get their feedback to so they don’t muck it up again.”

Cons: “I booked the flight because my previous flight (Spirit airlines) was cancelled very last minute. I booked this flight and then was informed that it was delayed more than 3 hours. I was unable to work with another delay and was forced to cancel this flight within hours of booking it. I was charged $15 to cancel the flight. So I paid for a flight that was sold to me and not on time and then charged for cancelling it within hours. This was incredibly disappointing.”

Cons: “Cabin temperature was too warm for the entire flight, I asked the flight attendant to adjust the temperature lower. The temperature remained the same, seatmates were also complaining. We cannot remove clothing when hot but can add clothing or blankets when cold.”

As I was closing the door, the brown haired lady forcefully grabbed the door and swung it back open and told me I had to use the lavatory in the rear. Since I didn’t want to get arrested, I did. When I was gone, she confronted my wife about why she did this and did so in a very rude tone. I hope to never see her again. I may think twice before choosing Sun Country again. If it wasn’t for her, the ride would have been decent.”

O This plane sucks: our knees were slammed into the seat in front of us because the chairs are so close together. No USB plugs. Plane was dirty, scuff marks on the wall and ceiling. There was paper in the pouch that looked like a mouse had chewed on it.”

If you push the recline button on the armrest, the chair doesn’t go back (of course it doesn’t, the person’s legs behind me are probably up against my chair anyway). Multiple people around me were also asking around if the chairs recline. I have a mild back injury and sitting up at 90 degrees the entire way was very uncomfortable.”

The two people who attended to the aisle chair, most teams were competent. Some hadn’t done many passengers so they were fumbling with the straps. I’ve learned that I almost alway have to ask for one at the gate where they check or issue, (what’s it called, loading permits, some kind of pass, not landing pass. loading pass. I can’t remember and my wife has gone to bed.) Well, they have to come up with an aisle chair because I’ve only got 1 1/2 legs. I always make it to the seat on the plane, but the competency of the various crews is uneen. Sorry my answer is so nonspecific but I don’t remember one airline from another. Great people all, get the job done.”

All the while the line for screening grew smaller and smaller. The other agent asked him, “what are you doing?” He responded by saying, “You said you were getting THEM all.” I didn’t understand, but clearly there was some subtext that I was not privy to. She shook her head and said, come up here sweetie. Then she managed to do what he obviously couldn’t do: his job. Then my girlfriend and I proceeded to be profiled and had our bags searched. If I didn’t have to be in OKC I would avoid that airport like the plague. Unprofessional.”

Que tenía que presentar un certificado médico para que me dieran un % de crédito pero nada más de mi esposo que fue el que se enfermo… ni modos de que dejara a mi esposo abandonado en el hotel en alla en Mazatlan. Tuve que esperar 3 días hasta que se recuperará… pero a la aerolínea no le importa el servicio al cliente y también se que está publicación tampoco va a servir de nada..y si compras aseguraba tampoco sirve de nada.”

( wasn’t any information about Cancun flight on information display) When I asked crew from desk about my flight to Cancun they told that I need to wait for announcement . I left for 20 minutes , when back 20 minutes before my departure time on my gate crew told me that my flight it’s gone. I didn’t hear any announcement about it. They didn’t change me for another flight , only the told me that they can change my ticket for the flight which is 18 hours later.”

Once on the flight- you can adjust your seat which for me wasn’t a big deal at 5’1” but any taller would be an issue. You pay for even water on this flight.”

When I questioned a credit, refund or an additional flight they said no and offered no assistance. Finally, they called security when I asked to speak to someone else.”
