Florida teen fatally stabbed two women after following them home: Cops

A 19-year-old Florida man has confessed to killing two women after following them home and crawling through the window as they slept, police say.

According to news outlet WFLA, Sage Curry is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and burglary. While the names of the two women weren’t released, neighbours told WFLA a mother and daughter lived in the Largo, Fla., home.

Cops say Curry first took note of the women after spotting them in public. The suspect told cops he entered the home by breaking a bedroom window.

He then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed one woman in the chest multiple times as she slept, according to the affadavit. He told police the second woman was stabbed when she came into the room to defend the first victim.

He asked a neighbour to help tend to his wounds, according to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2021/04/28/teenager-confesses-to-following-women-home-and-killing-them/">New York Post</a>.</p> <p>In an interview with WFLA, Jordan Martin, an ex-coworker of Curry, said he was shocked by the crime, going on to describe the suspect as “nice” and “quiet.”</p> <p>Curry is currently behind bars at Pinellas County Jail. He was appointed a public defender as he awaits trial.</p>
